Monaco

The Principality of Monaco with its world-wide known Mythical Rock is located between France and the Mediterranean Sea. Monaco and its capital of Monte Carlo has been a symbol of glamour since many decades. Although set on a very small territory(198 ha.), Monaco is a charming and prestigious place along a narrow coastal strip that is 4 km long, bordered by the foothills of the Mount Agel and Tete de Chien. Due to its mild, temperate climate, as well as over three hundred days of sunshine during the year, Monaco is welcoming a great number of tourists. Actually, as maybe most of you already know, the Monégasques do not pay taxes and almost entire country’s revenue comes from the tourism and gambling industries.
Monaco consists of 4 districts:
Monaco Ville - the historical seat of the Principality, located upon the Rock where the Prince’s Palace is;
Monte-Carlo - the district around the Casino;
Fontvieille - this is the new industrial district, erected on ground gained from the Sea;
and La Condamine, which is around Port d'Hercule.
